11 bit studios together with the developers of Fool's Theory will launch a new isometric RPG game called The Thaumaturge, where you will control dark esoteric beings during the beginning of the 20th century. The Thaumaturge is an isometric RPG with a beautiful storyline that approaches tactical combat, character enhancement features, and investigation mechanics in a unique way, bringing morally ambiguous choices to the forefront. The game takes place in a world filled with mysterious powers and strange ethereal beings called Salutors.
The story takes place in Warsaw, in 1905, the city is under the yoke of Russian imperial tsarism. Its population is diverse, made up of different origins, beliefs and world views. Generally, with conflicting interests. Russian soldiers, Jewish merchants, Polish townspeople among others. Despite the circumstances, the city is a bustling metropolis, where you can celebrate a sumptuous party with high society and, on the same day, be robbed in a dark alley in the Prague district. Wiktor Szulski, like all thaumaturges, has a gift and a burden. His gift is shared with his ancestors, and it is precisely his family that makes him return to tumultuous Warsaw. There, Wiktor must face his destiny, which has always been linked to the search for supernatural beings and their hosts, known as Salutors. Only people like Wiktor can tame them, as they are able to read the secrets of the human soul and speak to the Darkness, and he understands better than anyone that everyone has their demons.
During the game you will be able to shape your story, making your decisions and having to deal with the results obtained. Your characters can be developed so that you can create your own version of the Thaumaturge, approaching situations in different ways. The game's combat is made up of mundane attacks and psychic blows carried out by Salutors who accompany you.
The game also allows you to play and modify the temperament of other characters, being able to influence and manipulate them, until turning them in your favor. With the power of the Salutors and their exceptional skill set, you will have an advantage as you explore the world and make your enemies fall.
