It was announced by studio Quad this Saturday that they are working on the anime adaptation of the manga NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dōsei Hajimemashita (For Some Reason I Started Living with a NEET Kunoichi), the romantic comedy from storyboarder Yakitomato and artist Kotatsu, the adaptation will be directed by Hisashi Saito.

The anime will star Hinaki Yano as Shizuri Ideura and Shōya Ishige as Tsukasa Atsumi. Shigeru Chiba is narrating the series.
Hisashi Saito (Bamboo Blade, Haganai, Heaven's Lost Property) will direct the anime, while Takashi Aoshima (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You) is writing the series script, Masahiko Suzuki (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs) is character design and CMJK (theme songs for Eyeshield 21, Puzzle & Dragons X) is composing the music.
NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dōsei Hajimemashita follows Tsukasa, a normal salaryman who is attacked by demons one night and is saved by a genius kunoichi named Shizuri. However, in her free time, Shizuri is a lazy NEET otaku. Tsukasa and Shizuri end up living together, with Tsukasa using her domestic skills to spoil Shizuri while she continues to serve as her bodyguard.
The work is published by Kadokawa and had its third printed volume in March 2023, the 10th compiled volume was released digitally in March 2023 by Number Nine.
