Alawar together with developers at Egg or Chicken Games have announced Kingsgrave, a new indie dark adventure RPG coming to PC via Steam in 17 Of april. The game is a classic metroidvania inspired by Zelda, where you are a fallen King and must reconquer your kingdom while gaining new skills and combat power to face your enemies and decimate the plague.

In Kingsgrave you are a powerful monarch who has awakened from his long slumber! During the time he was away, a terrible disease struck the kingdom and claimed the lives of its people. His lands withered, the rest of his subjects abandoned their homes, and monsters created by the fragments of diseased souls arose in their place, swallowing all living things. It is time for the king to awaken and unite the fragmented lands, defeat the darkness and lead his people to prosperity like the old days. The fate of the kingdom depends on you!
Kingsgrave follows the already known pattern of evolution, where you can unlock new skills by collecting resources, building houses and defeating enemies. The more you restore your kingdom, the more commoners will return to their homes, giving you more power and dominion over the lands. During your journey you must destroy the plague creatures and save your subjects, while clearing the lands of rotting monsters to bring life back to the devastated lands.
The game has several areas to explore, from forests, deserts, volcanoes and other biomes in an interconnected handmade world. And in them you will find several ingenious puzzles, hidden paths and treacherous terrains to challenge you during your journey.
Kingsgrave will arrive on April 17th on PC via Steam, where you can now add it to your wish list and also test a demo that is now available on the game's page.
