Bandai Namco revealed a new trailer for Tekken 8 this time highlighting the gameplay of the legendary Yoshimitsu the powerful Ninjutsu user with two blades and armor strengthened.

Yoshimitsu is an heir to Manji Ninjutsu and current head of the Manji Clan, a group of thieves active since the Sengoku period, after a mission to investigate the actions of Mishima Zaibatsu, he comes across an ancient underground cave where legend has it that the Mishimas once used it for exorcisms. There he discovers a demonic knife that resonates with Yoshimitsu's cursed blade. The Cursed Blade, passed down among the heads of the Manji Clan for generations, is corrupted by an insatiable bloodlust that eventually drives its wielder insane.
Yoshimitsu quickly stabs himself with the blade so he can quench his thirst, but the blade becomes even more uncontrollable. After he returns, the clan elders teach Yoshimitsu how to suppress the cursed sword's malevolent will, even if just barely. Still, his cursed blade has called to him ever since that day.
So far among the playable characters already revealed for Tekken 8 are: Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams, Jun Kazama, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King, Lars Alexandersson, Jack-8, Ling Xiaoyu, Asuka Kazama, Leroy Smith, Lili, Hwoarang, Devil Jin, Zafina, Lee Chaolan, Alisa Bosconovitch, Victor Chevalier, Reina, Leo, and Steve.
Tekken 8 will be the first main game in the franchise since 2017's Tekken 7, and is in development for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S|X and will be released on December 26 January.
