In Star Ocean: The Divine Force, players seem to have a bigger and wider world to explore compared to previous titles. A new flight mechanic is also present, giving you the freedom to fly over the map at will.
The game will feature a story that will change based on your choices. The developer promises that this will be the game with the best and fastest combat in the series, in addition to a rich cast of characters.
Star Ocean is an old series from Square Enix, having its first title released in 1996 for the SNES. The last game in the franchise was Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness in 2016, which got a lukewarm reception.
Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC via Steam in 2022.
