During the technology fair CES 2024, Sony presented the trailer titled 'Realizing Visions', which introduced us to Torchlight, a new studio that promises to make it easier for filmmakers to create digital scenes, using the Unreal Engine and virtual cameras for the process. But what really caught me by surprise was the scenes from the film of Gravity Rush and Patapon. Check out:

The trailer shows the creation process and scenes from some Sony films, such as Gran Turismo. At 2:16 you can see an animation of Gravity Rush, and at 2:32 the same with Patapon.

It was already known about Sony's intention to produce the Gravity Rush film, but we still don't have much information about it, it only shows some 3D animated scenes at a very early stage and the motion capture process.

Patapon, it is stated that an anime based on the series is currently in production. Additionally, it looks like a new game is also in development, based on the presentation

Gravity Rush and Patapon are old franchises from the late Japan Studio, and many players believed that they would never see the light of day again.

Gravity Rush was released for PS Vita in 2012, and the player controlled a protagonist with powers to control gravity, being able to move freely around the scene in a constant "free fall", a mechanic that was quite different of the games released so far. The game has a charismatic protagonist, interesting flight and combat mechanics in addition to an interesting story, a combination that gained it a legion of fans and also guaranteed it the sequel that expanded the game's universe Gravity Rush 2 and which was released in 2017 and is currently only available for PS4 and PS5.
