Even working on a new game, Hello Games announced and has already released another update to the acclaimed No Man's Sky, titled "Omega", the update 4.5 brings several new features to the game, including a new pirate freighter, planetary missions and a revamp of the Atlas story.

The "Omega" update was released completely free of charge for all players who already own the game. The game will also be available between February 15th and 19th on all platforms completely free so that players can experience the update's new features while exploring the universe.

The update also adds a new starship, the Starborn Runner, an unusual ship that features a localized vector field that allows it to hover over solid planes. Another highlight is the new pirate ship, the Dreadnought, a giant star fortress that can be claimed when defeated.

Expeditions have also been overhauled with a new way to start them, where players can dive into community expeditions directly from existing saves. Bring your favorite starship and multi-tool to tackle the expedition's challenges in family style. Additionally, players can answer the call of the universe on a new community expedition, the Omega Expedition, where all participating Travelers begin a journey together on the beautiful planet Nafut Gamma and chart a course across the galaxy. Explore, build, fight and more across a diverse set of landmarks and unravel the threads of a mystery that encompasses the past, the present and what could be…

The classic Atlas Path quest has been given a new lease of life, culminating in a decisive final choice. Witness the Atlas in all its grandeur and decide whether you want to embrace the path it offers – or deny it. Either path will have a permanent impact on your relationship with Atlas.

Players will also be able to acquire the new Atlas Scepter, Atlas Helmet and the Atlas Flightpack jetpack that will improve their appearance during their journey through the universe.

No Man’s Sky is available for PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
