The creator of the series Bayonetta, Hideki Kamiya, took many fans by surprise when in September of this year he officially announced that he was leaving PlatinumGames, the company where he was co-founder and vice-president.

With his departure, many things could change, and especially one of the franchises most at risk of being affected is Bayonetta, but according to Hideki Kamiya himself in a recent video, the franchise will likely continue.

In the video, Hideki Kamiya comments on the future of the franchise, stating that the entire saga he imagined will go to the grave with him, as future titles in the franchise will likely be very different.

"It seems like I might have to take the entire saga I imagined to the grave with me, but I suppose those who own the rights to Bayonetta will probably stick with it," says Hideki Kamiya.

During an interview given in 2022, Hideki Kamiya commented that he was very interested in making nine games in the Bayonetta franchise, and he already had ideas of what to do in the fourth and fifth titles. The last game released in the main franchise was Bayonetta 3 in 2022, in addition to the spin-off Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon which was released earlier this year.

I like several different works, but with a tendency for strange and funny stories.

I like arts, games, drawings and interesting things.
