Quantic Dream in partnership with Parallel Studios are about to launch their new game Under The Waves, a surreal journey under the waves, where you'll experience a poetic underwater adventure about a man trying to overcome his traumatic past and save his life. Under The Waves is set in the depths of the North Sea in the 1970s in a techno-futuristic world and you control Stan, a professional diver, who is struggling to overcome an irreparable loss and accept a new future. The isolation of the deep waters is an appropriate manifestation of his state of mind, and as Stan becomes more and more involved in his self-imposed solitude, he begins to experience strange events far below the waves. Eventually he will have to make a difficult choice.
You'll have to roam the vast expanse of the ocean floor, piloting Stan's submarine and encountering spectacular marine life - his only company while he's trapped in his own mind. Explore caves, shipwrecks and underwater plants with the special diving suit. Follow the mysterious manifestations of his memories, in an attempt to find a way back to the surface and save his life.
During your journey, you'll also have to collect materials to craft equipment that will help you navigate further on this expedition of self-discovery. You'll have to venture down alternate paths to experience fascinating moments and reveal more about the tragic past Stan is trying to escape...
