The racing game Gran Turismo Sport has been removed without warning from the PlayStation Store, meaning you can no longer purchase the game digitally. The deletion was first spotted by a Reddit user.

And now it is possible to confirm the removal directly on the game's page on the PlayStation Store, where there is no longer any purchase option and a notice is displayed warning of the end of services that will occur on January 31st.

Sony and Polyphony Digital announced last September the closure of Gran Turismo Sport's online servers, as well as the end of DLC sales, but at the moment they would not end sales of the game itself.

It is worth noting that if you have already purchased the game, you will still be able to download and play it without any problems, as is the case with most items excluded from the PlayStation Store, although you will not be able to access online services after January 31st. The single-player portions of Gran Turismo Sport will remain operational, including career progression, unlockable vehicles and tracks, and more.

The removal of games from stores is common, even more so with new games that can be seen as replacements for old titles, with better services, or that players identify with leaving old titles spare and empty. In this case, the existence of the most recent title in the franchise Gran Turismo 7 may be the reason for the removal.

I like arts, games, drawings and interesting things.
