TOHO published a new video of Godzilla Minus One with much more destruction and the terror caused by the titan, and finally the new characterization of the giant lizard is shown in more detail. This is the new film in the Godzilla franchise and will hit theaters on December 1st.
The film is being directed by Takashi Yamazaki, and the film's setting appears to be in post-World War II Japan, with older infrastructure, destroyed cities, and vehicles and clothing from that era.
The film seeks once again to show Godzilla as a destructive force, seen roaming the streets of Japan as civilians flee, powerful enough that his footsteps cause cracks in the ground. The idea of this new film is to revive the feeling of the originals, where Godzilla was simply a destructive and apocalyptic force, bringing destruction wherever he went.
Godzilla Minus One will open first in Japan on November 3, on “Godzilla Day”, before hitting US theaters on December 1.
