CD PROJEKT RED announced today during the Xbox Games Showcase that Phantom Liberty, the spy-thriller expansion to its open-world action-adventure RPG Cyberpunk 2077, will launch on September 26, 2023. In Phantom Liberty, players once again take on the role of V, a mercenary for hire, as they embark on a mission to save the President of the New United States of America after her orbital aircraft is shot down in Night City's deadliest district: Dogtown. The Cyberpunk 2077 expansion is a hard-hitting spy-thriller adventure that introduces a new location. Throughout the new story, players will meet and work with new characters, including retired FIA agent Solomon Reed, played by Idris Elba. Among the returning cast is Keanu Reeves, reprising his role as rebel rocker Johnny Silverhand. The expansion also contains a host of new content, including quests, jobs, and activity types; new vehicles, technology, cybernetics and weapons; a new Relic skill tree that gives players more freedom to create their own play style and much more.
