Kadokawa published a new promotional video for the anime Gushing Over Magical Girls (Mahō Shōjo ni Akogarete) and also revealed more details about the staff and cast members. The work adapts the manga by Akihiro Ononaka and is scheduled to premiere in January 2024.

The new cast members are: Aoi Koga as Kiwi Araga (Leopard), Shiori Sugiura as Korisu Morino (Nero Alice), Mayuko Kazama as Sayo Minakami (Blue Magic) and Misaki Ikeda as Kaoruko Tenkawa (Sulfur Magic).
The previously revealed members were: Fūka Izumi as Utena Hiiragi/Magia Baiser, the protagonist who loves magical girls but becomes a magical girl villain because of a spell. Kaori Maeda as Haruka Hanabishi/Magia Magenta, Utena's classmate and one of the Tres Magia magical girls, and Misato Fukuen as Venalita, the mascot who bewitched Utena.
The anime will be produced at the Asahi Production studio, directed by Tadato Suzuki (2019 Fruits Basket) and Atsushi Ootsuki (Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox, Motto To Love Ru). Noboru Kimura (Gundam Build Divers, Skate-Leading Stars) is writing the script, while Yasuka Ōtaki (A Galaxy Next Door) is creating the character designs.
The work is a comedy with yuri romance and features some action parts and even a more violent tone. The story follows Hiiragi Utena, a normal high school girl who loves magical girls, or at least she was, but one day a talking mascot appears out of nowhere and casts a spell on her. Now is her chance to help her beloved magical girls... but is she now a villain? With a strange outfit and sensations she's never felt before, she can't believe what's happening!
Mahō Shōjo ni Akogarete (Gushing Over Magical Girls) was launched by Okanoka in 2019 in the Manga Life Storia magazine, and after the end of the magazine's publication it began to be released only in online format on the website Storia Dash from the publisher.
