Yesterday during the Summer Game Fest 2023, Remedy Entertainment marked the present to show the newest gameplay for the highly anticipated Alan Wake II. And in addition to presenting news about this sequel, we also had the presence of Sam Lake, responsible for all the studio's games.

In this new game, we discover that Alan Wake disappeared in 2010 after a terrifying encounter with a supernatural force of darkness while on vacation in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Alice Wake. Formerly a successful writer living in New York, Alan decided to write an ending to his horror story, hoping to free his wife from the darkness that trapped her beneath the lake. However, in doing so, Alan ended up trapping himself in the same place.

But Alan Wake is not dead. For 13 years, he has been trapped in a dark and dark place, where his nightmares, fears and stories come to life around him. All this time, he's been struggling to preserve his sanity and write a narrative capable of altering the reality around him, hoping to find an escape route. However, so far, his efforts have been in vain, resulting in successive failed attempts.

This new game will be a direct sequel to the events of the first game, but it has already been confirmed by the director that there is no need to play the previous title to understand the story.

Alan Wake II will be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S|X on October 17, 2023.

I like several different works, but with a tendency for strange and funny stories.

I like arts, games, drawings and interesting things.
