During the last meeting with Activision Blizzard shareholders, CEO Bobby Kotick openly admitted that Call of Duty: Warzone will be the backdrop for the official presentation of the next chapter of the iconic Call of Duty FPS series that, based on the latest leaks , will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War.

Asked by an Activision investor about the timing and methods chosen by the company to announce the new Call of Duty, Kotick replied that:

"Games as a service have created many new opportunities for this franchise, starting with marketing".

Referring to the success of Call of Duty Warzone, the CEO of Activision Blizzard further explains that:

"We now have a larger, more engaged and more global audience than we have ever had at any time in our history."

"And that means that we could be more direct and more focused than ever."

"Back to the question of why we wait so long to announce the new COD, there is a reason ... and it's Warzone. I think it made us rethink how, how when and how far we will reveal our next title."

At the end of his speech, the historic CEO of ATVBI specifies that:

"We can't wait to share all this with the community, we think it will be something very different and more engaging than anything we've done before".

The presentation of Call of Duty 2020 will be held on August 14, at 13:00 in Brazilian time.

Call of Duty 2020 is in development for the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and PS4.
