Political topics and video games have always gone hand in hand, always ... Like the political relevance of the series Metal Gear Solid, or even the political divergence of The Division. The games are political, and we like that.

However, in recent years, due to the fashion of being offended by everything, developers have been increasingly afraid to express themselves through their games ... They are increasingly reluctant to use political issues or even banal aspects, such as case of Tifas breasts that was reduced in Final Fantasy VII Remake.

This culture of taking everything to eight or eighty has affected freedom of expression to the point where developers are not able to tell the stories the way they really wanted to.

The fact is that there are few developers who still have their own opinion ... And often it is exactly the opinions that make art an art ... However, what we see are developers afraid to express themselves for fear of reprisals from the internet.

The internet needs to 'grow', accept and recognize naked art, as in the case of the mission we will have as a child soldier in Modern Warfare 2019. Art needs to be free of fanaticism and censorship.

Video games for a LONG time reflected the political realities experienced on our planet. As was the case with the game Missile Command that arrived well during the Cold War era ... The player's role was to save US cities from nuclear attacks.

The curious thing is that most of the time the developers step back before a militant group, which in the end, most of them end up not even buying the game in question.

We hope that this scenario will start to change with the release of Modern Warfare which refused to back down on the mission of telling the story that the developers had in mind.

And the game's success will only prove that no developer should censor their game due to pressure or indignation from overly sensitive groups.
