Fahrenheit 213, the studio led by Yōsuke Shiokawa, former producer of Fate/Grand Order, announced that Tsurugihime, its new side-scrolling action RPG, will be released in Early Access for PC via Steam in 2026. The announcement came with an introductory video featuring gameplay footage during the Indie Live Expo.
The game presents itself as "an RPG that 'forges' destiny," placing the player at the center of an intense 100-day journey culminating in a decisive battle. Each day is your choice: to fight tirelessly to become stronger, to face powerful challenges immediately, or simply to seek peace. This freedom allows you to forge the narrative of your experience, defining the protagonist's fate.

In the Tsurugihime universe, the main weapon, the "Tsurugi," is the tool that allows the player to shape not only combat, but also customization, exploration, story development, and even interaction with supporting characters, including their "sister-in-arms" (Imouto). Combat is a spectacle of action where it's possible to master up to 1000 weapons, choosing which ones you will use for each movement and action, creating your own battle style.
In addition to Yōsuke Shiokawa directing, the development team includes big names such as Kouhaku Kuroboshi (Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online) in character design, and Takeharu Ishimoto (The World Ends with You) in musical composition.
Key Features That Differentiate the Game:
- The 100-Day Cycle: A countdown to the final battle, where each in-game day is crucial to your development.
- The "Forge" Mechanic: Your gameplay and decisions shape every aspect of the game, from combat to narrative and character development.
- Vast Arsenal of Weapons: The ability to use up to 1000 weapons in side-scrolling combat, allowing for deep customization of your fighting style.
- Multiple Endings: The protagonist's fate and the story's outcome depend entirely on how you choose to spend your 100 days.
Tsurugihime will be released for PC via Steam in Early Access in 2026, with support for Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese languages.
