Level Infinite has officially announced a new publishing agreement with SHIFT UP for the release of Project Spirits, a new multiplatform title that promises to raise the bar for action and RPG games. The project is being developed using the powerful Unreal Engine 5, aiming to deliver cutting-edge visual fidelity for PC and console players, as well as mobile audiences.

This is not the first time the giants have collaborated. The partnership marks the second major project between the companies, following the global success of Goddess of Victory: Nikke, released previously. SHIFT UP has recently solidified its name in the international market, especially after the acclaimed release of Stellar Blade in 2024, which won numerous awards and highlighted the studio on the Korean Stock Exchange.

For gamers, the anticipation surrounding Project Spirits revolves around the studio's unmistakable visual signature. Founded by Kim Hyung-tae, the developer is known for highly stylized and sensual character designs, coupled with narratives focused on intense action. Imagine immersing yourself in a world where anime aesthetics merge with the realism of next-generation graphics engines, creating immersive environments and fluid combat that demands reflexes and strategy.

The development is co-produced by Yongxing Interactive, a Tencent affiliate formed by industry veterans focused on ACG (Anime, Comic and Games) projects. Level Infinite has reinforced that the partnership covers both publishing and joint development, suggesting a much deeper collaboration than seen in previous titles.

Check out the main features expected for the project:

  1. Graphics Engine: Developed entirely in Unreal Engine 5.
  2. Multiplatform: Integrated experience for PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
  3. Visual Style: Striking character design, maintaining the artistic legacy of SHIFT UP.
  4. Development: Deep technical collaboration between industry veterans.

Since this is an initial announcement, no gameplay trailers or specific release windows have yet been released; the only thing we have is a first promotional image.

Project Spirits will be released for PC, consoles, and mobile. There is still no defined release date for the title.

I like several different works, but with a tendency for strange and funny stories.

I like arts, games, drawings and interesting things.
