HBO Max has just released the official teaser trailer for the new season of True Detective. Titled "Night Country", the fourth season of the series will feature Jodie Foster in the role primarily as she investigates a mystery in Alaska.

The plot will take place as a long winter night falls on the town of Ennis, Alaska, the mystery begins to unfold at the Tsalal Arctic Research Station, where eight people mysteriously disappear without a trace. Detectives Liz Danvers (played by Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (played by Reis) are called in to investigate the case and will have to face their own inner demons as they unearth the haunting truths buried under the ice.
True Detective: Night Country should premiere later this year, but unfortunately no exact release date has been announced.
