After revealing the trailer for the new season of True Detective, to HBO Max also revealed the first official teaser for The Penguin which is still in the production stage. The teaser again shows actor Colin Farrell bringing the classic villain, Penguin, to life.

The Penguin will be a dramatic miniseries starring Colin Farrell based on the villain Penguin, which will expand the universe of The Batman, Matt Reeves' film. The series will follow the journey of Oswald Cobblepot, showing his transformation from a disfigured unknown to one of the biggest gangsters Gotham City has ever known. In addition to the Penguin, we will have the presence of the Falcone family in the series, including Solfia Falcone and Alberto Falcone.
This series will be executive produced by Matt Reeves, director of The Batman. Dylan Clark and Colin Farrell will also be producing, with Lauren LeFranc serving as writer and showrunner. The Penguin is produced by Reeves's 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
The Penguin will premiere in 2024 directly on the HBO Max streaming service.
