EISYS, Inc., the company behind the world-renowned online doujinshi retailer, DLsite, has announced that it will host Hentai-Expo 2023, on April 16. This is the second annual streaming event dedicated to adult games, which started in 2022 featuring 70 titles in a 90-minute block.
This year the event will feature more than 100 Japanese-inspired and Japanese design-focused titles and will run for 5 hours, starting at 10:00 am JST on April 16th. The event will be hosted by inaugural hosts HighGai and Kaho Shibuya returning this year, along with EISYS organizer and co-host DLsite-M.
Hentai-Expo was born out of a dream to broaden the reach of an entire gaming industry that has often strayed from traditional gaming expos. DLsite-M explains:
Logically, the event is for adults +18, and will be broadcast exclusively on the website hentai-expo.com with live chat during the transmission supported by event's official Discord server. The stream will be available via VOD (video on demand) on the website after the live event concludes.
In 2022, Hentai-Expo attracted approximately 1,500 concurrent viewers with over 90% audience retention during the program. This year, around 10,000 international viewers are expected during the 5-hour live stream. With EISYS, Inc. at the helm, Hentai-Expo is uniquely positioned to elevate the work of countless developers and publishers often relegated to the fringes of gaming. Plans are already underway to expand content offerings at upcoming events to the entire world of adult-oriented otaku entertainment.
