It was revealed in the latest issue of Comic Alive magazine, that the light novel Kami wa Game ni Ueteiru (The Ultimate game-battles of a boy and the gods or lit. God is Hungry for Games) written by Kei Sazane will win a manga adaptation, but the magazine does not say who will draw it or when the work will debut.
The first volume of Kami wa Game ni Ueteiru was published on January 25 with illustrations by Toiro Tomose. The story follows supreme gods who have a lot of time available, so they create the definitive "intellectual game" entitled "Kamigami no Asobi". Reche, an ex-goddess, declares that she will find the most skilled human being to bring with her and challenge the gods, and in search of her she finds the young Fey who will accompany her in this game.
Kei Sazane also created the light novel Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World (Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjō, Arui wa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen) with illustrations by Ao Nekonabe, which is being published in English by Yen Press including a adaptation in manga. The story of this work was adapted into an anime that debuted last October, being broadcast by Funimation as soon as it was released.
