The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth

The epic Dark Heart of Skyrim concludes in The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth. Explore a new dangerous zone, gather a group of unlikely allies and take on a Vampire Lord and his old army. Markarth also features a new solo arena, Vateshran Hollows, designed to test players' strength, intelligence and deliberation, with challenging bosses, multiple unlockable paths and powerful secrets.

Markarth will be released on November 2 for PC, Mac and Stadia, and on November 10 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be available for free to ESO Plus members or available for purchase at the in-game store, the Crown Store.

This new DLC will arrive at the Public Test Server (PTS) next Monday, September 21st, and we will show more of Markarth in the coming weeks.

Markarth's prologue mission now available

Players can start Markarth's prologue mission right now, completely free! The mission will put players on an adventure that leads directly to Markarth's main story and the conclusion of the annual adventure.

To start, simply visit the Crown Store and take the mission. Anyone who owns the ESO base game can try this new adventure for free.

Lost Treasures of Skyrim in-game event

Starting next week, the Lost Treasures of Skyrim event challenges the ESO community to unlock three layers of collectible rewards, which include new cosmetics, a pet, a new home and the first of a new type of collectible: houseguests.

Players unleash these rewards by digging up Tamriel's lost treasures, using the Antiquities system. The more treasures players dig up, the faster their Greymoor companions will unlock the items.

In addition to this challenge, the event brings bonus rewards for all players who venture out and complete daily missions in western Skyrim. For more information on Lost Treasures of Skyrim and these bonus rewards, see the announcement article on the official website.

Here is the schedule with dates (some of which may change) for the next in-game events that will take place this year:

  1. Lost Treasures of Skyrim (September 23 - October 5)
  2. Witches Festival (October 22 - November 3)
  3. Undaunted Celebration (November 25 - December 12)
  4. New Life Festival (December 21 - January 2, 2021)
