Microsoft officially launches Xbox Series X in November
Along with the news that Halo Infinite has been postponed to 2021 and is no longer a launch game for the Xbox Series X, Microsoft has offered more information on what is in store for its next generation console.
Despite not specifying an exact release date, Microsoft has reduced its “late 2020” launch window to November.
The company also promised that more than 100 games optimized for the Xbox Series X to be released between generations or developed exclusively for the new console, will be available later this year.
Here's a breakdown of what gamers can expect from the Xbox Series X in 2020:
- More than 50 new games planned for this year between generations and optimized for the Xbox Series X, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Dirt 5, Gears Tactics, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Watch Dogs: Legion. With Smart Delivery, you only need to buy the games once to play the best versions for your console, across generations;
- New games developed exclusively for the Xbox Series X and released with Xbox Game Pass, including The Medium, Scorn, Tetris Effect Connected and more;
- More than 40 popular games recently optimized to get the most out of the Xbox Series X, such as Destiny 2, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Madden NFL 21 and more.
