Will they all come in the future?

According to a Reddit user, references to several unannounced characters are contained in update 1.03 of the Marvel's Avengers beta, including Captain Marvel, She Hulk, Kate Bishop and War Machine.

According to the dataminer, the discovered code appears to be specifically related to playable characters and not to unlockable cosmetics.

On Saturday, a second dataminer claimed to have discovered even more references to unannounced Avengers characters in the beta code.

According to Reddit user RoboMatters, the recently released PC beta makes reference to Ant-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Falcon, Mar-Vell, Harpy, Daisy Johnson, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Vision , Wasp and Winter Soldier.

The second datamine is also supposed to refer to all the characters mentioned in the first.

Square Enix has so far confirmed two post-launch additions coming to the game: Hawkeye and PlayStation-exclusive Spider-Man.

In an interview with various media outlets this month, Avengers creative director Shaun Escayg said the characters in future DLC "would extend to the entire 80-year history of Marvel".

“The process of choosing these characters is‘ Can we put them in this world? Can we present a real argument to Marvel that this character belongs here, will this character move our story forward or lead us to new stories? '”He said.

Escayg also stated that each character in the DLC would likely have its own story arc.

"This is the plan," he added. “It will depend on how deep we go. But no character can be introduced without a story.

"This is part of Marvel's rule, so we have to introduce it into a story arc, understand what the character is going through, potentially which villain is creating this type of conflict."

Marvel's Avengers will be released on September 4 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Avengers is also scheduled to launch on next generation consoles later this year and owners of the current version will be able to upgrade at no additional cost.
