Xiaomi has announced its new Black Shark 3S gamer phone, an improved version of the Black Shark 3 originally launched in March this year. The main novelty in the new model is the 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, which can now be used with a 120Hz and 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has the same 270Hz touch sampling rate, which should offer good gaming accuracy.

Still on the screen, it has two pressure sensitive zones that can be mapped for different actions, has Full HD + resolution, 20: 9 aspect ratio, 500 nits brightness, covers 105% of the DCI-P3 color space and supports the third generation of MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology. Present in many TVs, MEMC technology basically adds extra frames to make video viewing smoother.

The device's gyroscope can be used to detect certain types of movements and you can create macros for games, which trigger various actions in sequence. Voice commands are also available so that you can start the screen capture without taking your hands off the controls.

The Black Shark 3S smartphone comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip and not the Snapdragon 865 Plus, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB / 256GB storage capacity based on the UFS (Universal Flash Storage) 3.1 standard and 4.729mAh battery with support for quick recharge using 65W charger. The battery can be charged via USB Type-C from 0 to 100% in just over half an hour. Alternatively, there is a magnetic adapter that can be connected to the rear of the device so that you can play and charge at 18W simultaneously. It is connected to the “triangle” opposite the triangle with the cameras.

On the cameras, the Xiaomi gamer phone comes with three rear and one front. The three rear cameras are the main 64MP with f / 1.8 aperture, the 13MP ultrawide with f / 2.25 aperture and 120 degree field of view, and the 5MP for depth detection. The front camera for selfies is a 20MP camera. A detail about the front camera is that it is located on the top edge and not on the device's screen.

Black Shark 3S will be available from August 4 in China for 3,999 yuan ($ 573.32) for the 12GB / 128GB model and for 4,299 yuan ($ 616.33) for the 12GB / 256GB model. A 512GB model will be available for 4,799 yuan ($ 688.01), but it still has no date to reach the Chinese market. Models with 128GB and 256GB are already pre-sold in the country.
