Shadow Arena, medieval fantasy battle royale, will get console version
Pearl Abyss announced today that Shadow Arena, its medieval battle royale derived from Black Desert Online, will win versions for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles later this year. More information about the game's release on the consoles will be revealed soon. Meanwhile, the PC version of Shadow Arena, currently in Early Access via Steam, today received its 12th hero, Gorgath.
Gorgath is described as an alchemist who summons rocks to attack enemies and defend his position. The new hero has "choice of rock attacks that fly long range, as well as short range attacks". Its main skill is the Earth Alchemy Stone, which can explode enemies with the power of the earth and damage them again with an additional explosion. In addition, Gorgath can use Forbidden Alchemy to produce random items, such as consumables, armor and weapons, even with the possibility to create higher level items. "Gorgath's most devastating ability is Rock Hurricane, a rock-filled hurricane that damages all enemies around him and also adds a 10-second defensive bonus."
Available for free, Shadow Arena pits 40 players against each other in a relentless fight to be the last person standing on the battlefield. Players can choose from nine playable characters, each with their own fighting style. ” In the game, players must kill monsters and collect items to improve their equipment and earn bonuses.
