Achievements have been on the Epic Games Store task list for over a year and it looks like they're finally coming. Epic said today that "certain games" in the store can now begin to display achievements as they are unlocked.

Certain games in the Epic Games Store can start showing achievements as you unlock them.

This is an early version of the feature and you can expect to see changes and adjustments.

We will have more information to share about the achievements in the future, so stay tuned!

It is good to see the Epic Games Store progressing, although we think the achievements are largely martyrdom. Predictably, however, not everyone is impressed with the fact that it took so long to happen, and there is also confusion about which games actually support them: the Ark game page, for example, does not mention achievements, and they are not visible on the store. Still, one step at a time.

Although Epic said nothing but the above tweet about the implementation of achievements, the Epic Games Store roadmap on Trello lists them as "Up Next", along with support for game mods, a "Trending" category on the main page, and dynamic price adjustments for bundles.

I like several different works, but with a tendency for strange and funny stories.

I like arts, games, drawings and interesting things.
