Megan Fox will be the vampire Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1

Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have released a new video of the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 1, revealing that actress Megan Fox lent her voice and image to the game's character the vampire bloodthirsty Nitara.

According to Megan Fox:

I grew up playing Mortal Kombat and I can't believe I'm voicing a character in the new game. It's an honor to be a part of one of the greatest video game legacies of all time.

The game takes place after the end of Mortal Kombat 11, where Liu Kang became a god and created a separate universe. This allows the team to reboot the series and change some story elements.

Mortal Kombat 1 presents a new universe for Mortal Kombat, now reborn conceived by the mighty God of Fire, Liu Kang, which marks the beginning of a new era for this iconic franchise, bringing with it an innovative fighting system, exciting game modes and, of course, brutal fatalities!

Mortal Kombat 1 will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 19, 2023.
