The access and difficult confrontation between Epic Games and Apple continues, with consequences that continue to involve the presence of Fortnite: Royal Battle on the devices of the giant apple.

The latest update offered by the software house announces that as of September 23, 2020, Fortnite will no longer be available on MacOS. A drastic decision, which Epic Games attributed to the impossibility of proceeding with the update of the Apple versions of its Fee -to-Play.

These are the words shared by software house in a press release:

"Apple prevents Epic Games from electronically signing games and patches distributed on MacOS, making it impossible to continue developing and offering Fortnite on this platform."

"Specifically, the next release v14.20 causes bugs and errors in version v13.40 that compromise the game experience, which destroys the game on that platform."

As a result of that decision, Epic Games also announced that it has started a player refund program. The guidelines disclosed below:

"We are refunding all players who purchased any Save the World Founder or Starter Pack (including upgrades) and played Fornite on macOS between September 17, 2019 and September 17, 2020."

"In addition, we will also refund all V-Bucks purchased and then spent on the MacOS platform during this automatically started period, but it may be necessary to wait until October 2nd to be credited the amount due."

Players, however, will keep all V-Buck and purchased items in their accounts, while Fortnite will remain playable on PC and Consoles. We also remember that downloading Fortnite will soon be impossible on MacOS, just as it has been impossible on iOS for quite some time.
